The project started in 2012 under the aegis of the Program on Liberation Technology at Stanford University. It was established with a seed grant from Google Charitable Giving.

Auditing Student Intern - (Remote)

Worked on a group project on three SDG's, clean water and sanitation, clean energy and Poverty. Furthermore, we explored SDG-related concerns in India and Japan, their similarities and differences, and how they may offer a novel contribution to achieving the SDGs using science and technology learned via the program. This program was supported by Sakura Science Plan, Japan Science and Technology Agency.

In this project, a method of DEM super-resolution based on a neural network is used. Our approach can effectively extract the feature mapping relationship between a low- and high-resolution DEM(input features) to output features, i.e., the lidar data using an artificial network. Compared with the other models with fewer layers, our method significantly improves the DEMs reconstructed details and recovered textures.
